TEACHING AT YALE

In past years I have taught the undergraduate lecture courses "Introduction to Political Philosophy,""How Do We Choose, and Choose Well, and "Justice in Western Thought." I have taught my undergraduate seminars "Beyond Representative Government" and "Freedom," as well as the Spring semester sequence of Directed Studies, which covers big books from Machiavelli's Prince to Hannah Arendt's The Origins of Totalitarianism. I have also taught graduate level seminars, including "Political Epistemology," "Deliberative Democracy and Beyond," "Political Authority," "Introduction to Political Theory" and "Philosophy of Science for the Study of Politics." In the future I plan on developing an interactive lecture course simply titled "Democracy."
